My Paternal Grandfather, Swachandam Sri. Srinivasachariar Swami, who was hailed as “Tharka Simham” due to his shaping eminent vidhwans/scholars, influenced me immensely.

“My loving wife, Smt. Revathi Krishnan, without whose support and encouragement, I couldn’t have started on my journey as a writer”.

About Shri. A. Krishnan

Shri. A.Krishnan, a Post Graduate in Mathematics, from University of Madras (India) was a Gold Medalist. He served as the Managing Director of a leading Public Sector Bank. for 39 years. He was a Former Deputy Managing Director in State Bank of India and retired as the Managing Director of State Bank of Mysore in the Year 1996.

Given his religious and disciplined background, and hailing from a well-known family of scholars, he took up writing after retirement from active service in the year 1996.

Unveiling Excellence: The Literary Legacy of Shri. Krishnan

“Shri. Krishnan’s literary journey, rooted in tradition and marked by excellence, has enriched our understanding of ancient epics and their characters.”

Shri. Krishnan, following his childhood traditions, wrote books like SRIMAD VALMIKI RAMAYANAM and PURE GEMS OF RAMAYANA, an English translation of RAMAYANATH THOOMANIGAL in Tamil. His writing on Lord Rama also includes a commentary on Kamban’s vision of the Lord in Tamil, titled KAMBAN KANUM THIRUMAL.

After exploring Lord. Rama, he then continued his epic journey into writing on Lord Krishna in Tamil in MAHABARATHIL KRISHNAN.

Given the popularity of the subject matter and his own thirst to showcase his love for Lord. Krishna, he translated the Tamil text into English and titled it as KRISHNA in MAHABHARATA.
